A routine passenger flight in Argentina, from Rosario to Mendoza, ends in disaster as flight MA103 explodes as it is about to land. All 160 people on board the plane die.

Twenty years later

A killer is on the loose, his prey apparently chosen at random, but all linked in some way to flight MA103. International human rights lawyer Martin Genzale lost his wife and daughter in the crash. Is he the killer? The only clue the police have is that a Korean woman who rides a motorbike is in some way involved. That description just happens to fit Yeon-joo Jeong, an associate of Genzale. 

At the heart of it all lies the Chimera Foundation, a multi-billion dollar medical research company who made their fortune marketing a revolutionary cancer screening tool.

Lt John Wilson, jaded and faded homicide detective, finds himself faced with a serial killer, a raft of apparently meaningless and unconnected clues, and a conspiracy that began in Argentina over 20 years earlier.
